
10 Minute meditation for any time of the day.
Meditation is the type of self-care that comes at no financial cost to you and involves very little time commitment. It’s extremely beneficial in managing stress and anxiety which many of us have experienced in a variety of different ways, especially over the past year. This page includes links to a few different meditation options for morning, afternoon, and evening and details the benefits behind each one.
What do you need to know before you get started?
- Find a quiet spot or room where you won’t be interrupted.
- Shut off your electronic devices like your phone, laptop, and TV so you won’t be distracted.
- Find a comfortable spot to sit. You can sit on the edge of your bed, a chair with both feet planted on the floor, or go ahead and use your meditation cushion if you have one.
- Make sure you’re sitting comfortably but up straight. Having good posture is important to keep your energy flowing throughout the meditation.
- Don’t get frustrated if you’re getting distracted! It takes some getting used to when you’re first starting out and the more you do it the more you’ll get used to it. This is why we’re including some guided videos to follow along with.
